About Driftbox

Driftbox started as a weekend project between a few people who kept emailing each other the same files. We wanted one shared folder with real links and no ceremony. It grew into this.

What it is

A single shared vault per workspace. Upload, organize into folders, share a driftbox.link URL, set it to expire if you like. That's the whole product.

What it isn't

It isn't a document editor, a chat app, or a project tracker. There are good tools for those already. Driftbox just holds files and hands out links.

Who runs it

A two-person team, funded entirely by the workspaces that pay for extra storage. No investors, no ads, no reselling anything. Files belong to the workspace that uploaded them.

Where the data lives

Objects are stored encrypted at rest in an EU data center, with a nightly off-site copy. We keep deleted files in a 30-day trash before they're purged for good.
